Welcome to Wardrobe Chat (the “App” and “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, website (www.wardrobe.chat), and related services.

By using Wardrobe Chat, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Authentication

  • Email address, username, and password (if you create an account with credentials)
  • Google or Apple account information (name, email, profile picture) when you sign in with those providers
  • Phone number and email for optional verification and account recovery
  • Profile details such as display name, gender, date of birth, and profile photo

1.2 Wardrobe and Clothing Data

  • Wardrobe names, locations, seasons, and item counts
  • Clothing images, types, colors, seasons, occasions, and placement status (In Wardrobe, Laundry, Dry Cleaning, Repairing, etc.)
  • Wear history and saved outfits
  • On-device image analysis for cloth type and color detection

1.3 Social and Communication Data

  • Friends list and friend requests
  • Direct messages and shared clothing items
  • Comments, likes, and style posts
  • Block and report actions you take for safety

1.4 Virtual Try-On and Avatar Data

  • Body photos you upload to generate a personal avatar
  • Generated avatar images and virtual try-on results
  • These images are processed by our servers and third-party AI providers solely to provide try-on features

1.5 AI Chat and Suggestions

  • Messages you send to the AI styling assistant
  • Outfit suggestion preferences and related wardrobe context used to generate recommendations

1.6 Device and Technical Data

  • Device type, OS, app version, and push notification tokens
  • Usage analytics and crash reports to improve performance and reliability
  • Website contact-form submissions (name, email, message)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide wardrobe organization, social sharing, messaging, and style features
  • Generate AI outfit suggestions, chat responses, avatars, and virtual try-on results
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts
  • Send push notifications based on your preferences
  • Enforce community standards, process reports, and support blocking abusive users
  • Respond to support requests and improve the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Wardrobe Chat uses a combination of:

  • Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in (email/password, Google, Apple, phone verification)
  • Our Laravel API and servers (wardrobe.chat) for app data such as wardrobes, social features, avatars, and try-on results
  • Secure cloud storage for clothing images, profile photos, and avatar images
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access is restricted through authentication and server-side controls. No system is 100% secure; please protect your account credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google Firebase / Google Sign-In / ML Kit — authentication, messaging, and on-device image labeling. See Firebase Privacy.
  • Apple Sign-In / APNs — authentication and iOS push notifications.
  • AI providers (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) — may process wardrobe context, chat messages, or images you submit for styling, detection, avatar generation, or try-on features.
  • App stores — Google Play and Apple App Store handle downloads and any in-app purchases under their policies.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Sharing With Other Users

  • Your profile (username, display name, photo) may be visible based on your privacy settings
  • Content you share, like, comment on, or post may be visible to friends or other users as designed by those features
  • Blocked users cannot interact with you according to the App’s blocking rules

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access / Edit: View and update profile, wardrobe, and settings in the App
  • Delete: Delete items anytime; delete your account in Account Settings (permanent)
  • Export: Request a data export at privacy@wardrobechat.com
  • Notifications: Control push notifications in the App or device settings
  • Privacy controls: Manage profile, wardrobe, and messaging visibility where available

Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within approximately 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for anonymized analytics.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Users, CCPA & GDPR

Your data may be processed in regions where our providers operate. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. California residents also have CCPA rights, including the right to know and delete personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this website and in the App, and update the “Last Updated” date. Significant changes may also be communicated in-app or by notification.
